This is my second post to the community as we prepare to launch our platform this summer. We recently completed UAT which surfaced a few important questions that hadn’t come up earlier in the implementation process.
One key issue we’re grappling with involves our original plan was to send the virtual card to a secondary (personal) email address, which would be collected during the user’s first login.
However, during UAT, several staff members expressed concerns about sharing their personal email addresses and asked whether this step could be made optional. Their feedback has prompted us to reconsider our approach.
We now find ourselves in a bit of a dilemma. Without knowing how many employees might opt out of providing a personal email, it’s difficult to determine the best strategy for managing points for terminated employees. Asking employees to forfeit their points presents potential legal / compliance challenges for a global organization like ours – and its out least preferred strategy.
We’d love to hear how others have handled this—especially balancing privacy, compliance, and employee experience. Any insights or lessons learned would be greatly appreciated! Thanks,
