On July 1, we launched a "Recognition Raffle" program where 5 employees who make recognitions within the quarter receive 50 points each as a way to boost peer-to-peer recognition. The first group of winners was selected on October 2 by running the Recognition Details report under Recognition Reports, removing duplicate comments to help authenticate original posts, then asking Chat GPT to pick 5 numbers between 1 and X (the number of posts made that quarter). We confirmed employees were still active and that the post made was meaningful, then awarded the employees and sent a Bulk email announcing the winners while reminding others to continue posting to be selected as a winner the next quarter. Recognitions made the quarter prior to launching the program averaged 322 recognitions per quarter vs 412 recognitions the first quarter of the launch. The first week of the program launching, 177 new users logged in to Awardco. There were a total of 1096 new users in Q3 after the program was launched vs 351 the quarter prior. The program only costs the company $1,000/year and increases Peer-to-Peer Recognition which is proven to boost employee engagement, productivity and retention. Depending on the size and budget of your company, it's possible to make adjustments to better fit your needs. For companies with no budget, they could award a "Work-from-home" pass to winners or distribute leftover company merch to winners. The relatively new bulk email tool was a great way to get the message out to all users and prove the validity of the program as we followed up to announce the employees who were selected winners.
