Mistakes happen, and we get it! It’s all part of the process! But when it comes to recognitions, we want to make sure that everything goes smoothly, as errors can sometimes lead to confusion or bigger problems down the line.
🛠️ The good news is, if something goes wrong, there’s a way to fix it.
Deleting Recognitions
Someone accidentally recognized the wrong person, or perhaps awarded the wrong monetary value? No worries! You can easily delete recognitions from the feed.
Here’s how to delete a recognition:
- Go to the Feed tab.
- Find the recognition message you want to delete in the Social Feed.
- Click on the icon (...) to the right of the recognition message.
- Click Delete.
This will remove the recognition from the feed, allowing you to correct the mistake and re-send!
👥 If the recognition was posted privately, you can impersonate the nominator or the recipient of the recognition to locate the recognition in the feed to delete a recognition accordingly!
Errored Recognitions
Sometimes, you may see an error like “Insufficient points in your budget to reward” when trying to send out a bulk recognition. This happens when the recognition budget doesn't have enough points available to reward the user.
How to handle this:
Before you begin, check the error and resolve it. If it’s an issue with insufficient points, ensure that there are enough points in the budget. If the user was mistakenly archived, unarchive them.
- Go to the Queues tab.
- Navigate to the Errors queue
- Select the recognitions you want to push through.
- Click 'Move to Pending'
Once you've completed these steps, the recognitions will be released at the top of the next hour.
💡 Important Note: Always double-check the recognitions before they’re sent out. Ensuring that the details are correct can save time, avoid confusion, and help everyone get the recognition they deserve without any hiccups!
