Hi Everyone, I wanted to get some input from this community.
We’re just past the 100-day mark since launching Awardco, and while it’s integrated with Slack (our preferred channel), the feedback from employees has been mixed. Compared to our previous platform, employees feel:
- Awardco shoutouts can seem less authentic and more like “spam.”
- Recognition feels more bot-driven than human, since messages are tied to the Awardco symbol rather than coming directly from a teammate.
- Engagement is lower, as the Slack posts don’t feel as personal.
A lot of folks have mentioned that our previous platform felt easier to use:
- Less clicking through forms
- You could Encore recognition directly in Slack with a designated emoji (and points still applied)
- Recognition felt more genuine because you still saw the person’s profile in Slack, rather than a bot pushing the message
We’d love to hear from others who’ve used the Awardco Slack integration or faced similar feedback. Any advice or lessons learned would be greatly appreciated as we work to improve the employee experience and approach this feedback thoughtfully.
Thanks in advance!
