Single Sign-On (SSO) is a secure way for your employees to log in to their Awardco account using the same credentials they use for your company's directory. Think of it as a master key for all their work applications!
If you're using an Identity Provider that supports SAML 2.0 (like Okta, Entrust, or Microsoft Azure Active Directory), you're all set to get started.
Beyond the convenience of having one password to remember, SSO significantly enhances security and simplifies account administration.
The Benefits:
- Easy Access: No more fumbling with different passwords.
- Increased Security: Centralized login means better protection against unauthorized access.
- Simple Administration: It's a breeze to manage employee accounts.
Ready to set up SSO? THIS article provides a step-by-step guide to configuring SSO through the admin portal so your team can start taking advantage of single-credential access.
✅ A quick note for our admins:
For new and existing accounts: As part of our commitment to platform security, we've implemented a change that requires your SSO certificate to include Assertion or Response signing. This adds another layer of security to your employee accounts.
What you'll need to do is contact your SSO provider, get an updated certificate from them, and then go into your SSO settings on the platform and replace the old certificate with your new one.
Once you have this new certificate, you need to go into your SSO settings on the platform, update the certificate, and then toggle ON "Assertion or Response Signed".
Don't worry, the next steps are simple:
- Reach out to your SSO provider (such as Okta or Microsoft Active Directory) to get a new certificate.
- Once you have it, log in to the platform and navigate to Admin >> Settings.
- On the left-hand side, select Single Sign-On.
- Delete your existing certificate and paste in the new one.
- Toggle ON the "Assertion or Response Signed" setting. Click Save.
Taking these steps will help protect your data and employee information. Please reach out to your CSM or chat with our TCSM Team if you have any questions!
