Cybersecurity is a top priority for everyone these days. To help you keep your platform and user data safe, we’re sharing some actionable tips:
Login Methods
- Single Sign-On (SSO): The most secure login method is enabling users to sign in via SSO. To set this up, please involve a company technical expert and your Awardco point of contact.
- Login with Code: If SSO isn’t an option or some employees don’t have access to a company email, consider implementing Login with Code. This allows employees to log in using their work or personal emails on file. Reach out to your Awardco point of contact to get this set up.
Password Settings
- Logging in with a password is safe when the right settings are in place. Ensure you configure the following in Admin Settings (Admin > Settings > Password) :
- Minimum password length
- Login attempt limits (Number of attempts before lockout)
- Idle timeout (Number of minutes before automatic logout)
- Password reset frequency (Number of days before a user must reset their password)
Evaluate Roles and Permissions
- The Roles and Permissions tool allows you to create unique roles with specific data visibility and feature access within the Awardco platform. Regularly review and update these permissions to ensure they align with your organization’s needs and conduct security audits. This helps maintain proper data visibility and administrative access.
- You can manage these settings by navigating to Admin > Settings > Permissions.
We hope this helps! For a deeper dive, check out Episode 33 of our "How We Built This Workshop" series, where we cover these topics in detail.
